Pika Wear was founded to create running gear that lets you focus on what you love the most – the run itself.

Pika Wear started with a clear mission: to design running apparel that functions so seamlessly, it fades into the background, letting you lose yourself in the rhythm of each stride. Dissatisfied with the limitations of existing running gear, we decided to create our own – beginning with prototypes sewn at home in Denmark. This passion project soon developed into a brand built on high-performance functionality, sustainable materials, and a true love for running.

The team behind pika wear

Our team brings a unique combination of skills and perspectives to Pika Wear. 

Max Boderskov, an elite runner with a Master’s in Sports Science, has represented Denmark on the national trail running team and holds a national title in trail running.

Max’s years of experience on the trails and his commitment to performance inform every detail of Pika Wear’s apparel, ensuring it supports each runner’s needs for comfort, movement, and durability.

Kirstine Boderskov, co-founder of Pika Wear, holds a Master’s degree in Experience Economy and brings an invaluable creative spark to the brand. Known for her unconventional ideas, Kirstine approaches challenges with a fresh perspective and has a natural gift for organizing processes.

Her deep appreciation for nature and her drive to create meaningful experiences shape Pika Wear’s vision of running apparel that connects runners not only to the sport but also to the environment around them.

Niels Uth, co-founder of Pika Wear, holds a Master’s degree in Finance and International Business and brings a strategic mindset to the brand. A passionate trail runner, he has a strong focus on performance, convenience, and durability.

Niels values running gear that meets the demands of serious athletes. His passion for high-quality, functional apparel aligns with Pika Wear’s mission to create gear that offers the perfect balance of lightweight comfort, durability, and practicality—allowing runners to stay focused on the trail ahead.

Our brand takes its name from the resilient Pika, a small mountain animal known for thriving in harsh environments but facing threats from climate change. Reflecting this adaptability, Pika Wear prioritizes both high-quality performance and environmental responsibility. Each piece is crafted in Europe using responsibly sourced, recycled materials, and we partner closely with European manufacturers to minimize our environmental impact and prevent overproduction.
